Who we are

The American Table Culinary Tours director Hanna Raskin and assistant director Catharine Roeber hail from southeastern Michigan, where they grew up eating peppered landjagers and slurping Vernor's ginger ale.

Hanna, the food editor and restaurant critic for the Mountain Xpress in Asheville, N.C., has written for magazines including American Heritage and the Journal of Popular Culture on topics such as why Americans love pizza and the relationship between Jews and Chinese food.
